Thirds sitting pretty at Christmas break 27 December, 2005  El Presidente Ray Benson added to the Thirds joy as his rink of Serge Presta, Rebecca Dunn and Peter Delellis cruised to a 37-12 win and earned the Special Edition Santa Claus mugs. The Firsts moved within one point of second place following their 18-0, 61 point flogging of hapless Sunbury who had a long drive home to contemplate the day’s events. Sixth placed Team Red spent the day shopping thanks to the RVBA programming a bye. A win at Kingsbury would’ve seen the Seconds possibly move into second place and things were looking good at the break, Fitzroy Victoria holding a four shot lead. Unfortunately things went horribly wrong after the sandwiches and they crumbled to 34 shot loss.
